I’ve always been an active person and played competitive sports whenever I had the opportunity. I'm an internationally capped lacrosse player for Team Ireland and have been coaching for over 10 years. Being fit and active didn’t always come easy to me I understand the journey – my own fitness came with its share of challenges. I've grappled with weight issues and faced sports-related injuries throughout my life There have been many times in my life when I felt stuck and unable to move forward with healthy lifestyle changes. Diets were too extreme, trying to fit in exercise seemed impossible and I struggled with committing to myself.

Studying the science behind exercise and nutrition cut through and led to me losing 25kg on my own plan. The training I offer is empathy and science-driven. My goal is to meet you where you’re at. I provide unwavering support through accountability, confidence boosting, and sharing my expertise at every turn. No diet fads, no extreme measures – just reliable, realistic, science-backed information guaranteed.

I have always had a passion for everything sports and fitness related. I started playing sports when I was 5 years old, so for me a career in fitness just made sense. When I finished school, I tried my hand at a few different things, from computer science to business, but I didn’t feel like these fitted what I desired from a career. I chose to pursue a career in the fitness industry because I know what it takes to stay fit and active from my years of training, whether it be sports or in the gym. I also get great pleasure from helping other people achieve their goals in the gym. I love exercising and it has so many benefits for me personally, so I would like other people to feel the same. I like to keep it simple in the gym. That means it takes all the guess work out for my clients and makes achieving their goals that bit easier and more enjoyable.

SONYA

Sonya comes from an athletic family and was raised in Howth. She could have represented Ireland at many sports but ultimately excelled at badminton and went on to qualify for the Olympics in Sydney in 2000, becoming Ireland's first Olympian badminton player. I always loved the fitness industry & training to achieve the highest level of fitness possible. My plan after the Sydney Olympics was to open my own gym where I could help others achieve their goals whether it be on the sporting side of things or everyday physical and mental health. I opened SV Fitness in November 2003 & delighted to say it continues to grow every day. We pride ourselves on the personal touch, interest & attention we give to all our members. SV Fitness Personal Trainers cater for all levels of Fitness from novice to Olympic athletes & we work really hard to help everyone achieve whatever goals they set for themselves; nothing is impossible.

If you are willing to turn up, work smart and give your best, then the Personal Training is ideal for!

I will be in the concierge in charge of your fitness goals. I don't provide fads, shortcuts, or quick fixes; I work only to deliver outcomes based on scientifically proven fitness strategies to help you look better, feel better, move better, and be healthier version of yourself.

You won't be finding "one size fits all" 4-week transformation nonsense here. I do 12-week programs, but I don't make absurd claims that I can't back up. Every body is unique. Even in my group training programs, everyone receives individual attention and program modifications to ensure they are getting the most out of their personal training program.

I aim to help my clients become better versions of themselves by helping them to become fitter, stronger, and healthier. I enjoy guiding and supporting my clients in achieving their objectives, no matter how big or small they are with whatever is in my scope of qualifications. What I strive for is to carefully observe my clients growing and progressing through their 'Training Journey'.
